Phillip Pike Memorial Library
   
 

The Phillip Pike memorial Library is a vast library of beekeeping literature that is available for our members.

The library is lovingly and painstakingly maintained at the home of WCBA members Tom and Sara Gammell.
 

  
 

Guidelines have been set to ensure fair and equal access to all WCBA members who wish to borrow library materials. 

  • You must be a WCBA member in good standing to borrow library books or materials.
     
  • Articles may be requested by telephone or e-mail to be borrowed at meetings or arrangements may be made directly with the librarian.
     
  • Articles may be borrowed from the library for a one month period.  They must be returned at the next regular meeting or they MUST be renewed through the librarian if they cannot be returned within 30 days.  See contact information below for the librarian below.
     
  • If books are not renewed or returned, a reminder will be sent by phone or e-mail to the borrowing member.
     
  • If articles are not returned after 2 reminders, the WCBA treasurer will be notified and will issue a request for payment for the replacement cost to the borrowing member.
     
  • A current listing of library materials is available on the WCBA website: www.honeybeeclub.org.  A hard copy may be requested from the librarian for those that do not have e-mail access.
     
  • Members may ask the Library Committee to purchase books or materials appropriate to the keeping of bees for addition to the library.
